About
Alycia Washington, DVM
Hello! My name is Alycia Washington, DVM. I grew up in Austin, TX and relocated to the Triangle in North Carolina in 2016. I attended Texas State University where I earned a Bachelors in Animal Science with a minor in photography. I later earned a Master's degree in Wildlife Ecology, during which I developed a fondness for turtles. During college, I worked as a treatment nurse at an after-hours emergency animal hospital. I attended Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and began my career as an ER doctor at an emergency/referral hospital in the Dallas area. After relocating to North Carolina, I worked as an ER doctor at a 24-hour specialty hospital. I now work as a relief veterinarian, with a focus on emergency medicine.
In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, making jewelry, learning about honey bees, and spending time with my husband and our pets, Skillet and Kitten.
